Broccoli Salad & Designer Whey Products

Serves: 6

Happy Sunday AND Happy St Patrick’s Day!!  I hope you are having a great weekend!! Are you celebrating St Patty’s Day in a fun way today?

Today I have a few exciting things to share with you!! A review on some great new products AND a yummy salad with just enough green to celebrate today! :)

About 2 weeks ago I posted this picture on Instagram

WOW!!! What an amazing package to have waiting for you on your doorstep! Designer Whey and FitFluential sent me this box full of goodies to try out! I knew a box was coming, but I did not think it would be this big!! It felt like Christmas!!

The first thing that caught my eye was the White Chocolate Protein powder! I think the flavor speaks for itself…..White Chocolate? How could it not taste amazing!! And oh boy, it does!! I have been putting it into everything….post workout shakes, mixed with greek yogurt, pancakes, mug cakes, you name it! Not only is the flavor amazing, but the nutrition stats are too! 100 calories, 18g of protein and 6g of carbs! Plus it is made with natural ingredients!! I love finding clean, delicious whey!

Designer Whey, if you are reading this…..it’s almost gone! Hint, Hint! ;) haha

The next thing I tried were these bars! Chocolate Caramel Crunch, Peanut Butter Crunch and Triple Chocolate Crunch. Although they aren’t as clean as I would have liked, they had an amazing flavor and made for a great snack when I needed to throw something in my bag quick! They also made a great topping crumbled on top of my casein ice cream at night! designer whey 3

I am not normally a fan of pre-made shakes, but these were creamy and delicious! A few days I was behind schedule and they were perfect when I needed to grab them and run out the door! I liked the vanilla better than the chocolate (but that could be because I prefer vanilla over chocolate any day!) Weird? I know! designer whey 4  These little packs were my second favorite item in the box! They tasted fruity and delicious and were perfect to throw in my purse! Just mix them with water and you have a refreshing protein drink in seconds! Plus they are sweetened with stevia! I also mixed the tropical orange into some greek yogurt and it was amazing!!!

(This is what they look like out of the box)

Of course, when I got this box, I also knew that I wanted to create a recipe to share with you using one of these new products! I knew I wanted to do something different than just using it in a shake or a mug cake. A few ideas were flowing threw my head. Then, a few days ago, I received an email from one of my amazing readers, Valerie. She wanted to share a favorite recipe with me. I was reading threw the ingredients list and there amongst the items was protein powder! Not only did the recipe sound delicious, but I knew instantly, that it would be the perfect recipe for my new Designer Whey protein powder! I emailed Valerie back immediately and asked if she minded if I shared her recipe with you….and as you will see she didn’t mind at all! So, a BIG THANK YOU to Valerie for sharing this recipe! :) I hope you enjoy this!

I’ve never tried Designer Whey. I love the idea of putting protein powder into your broccoli salad that is a great way of adding more protein.

I have never tried Designer Whey . . . I have such a hard time switching from what I already know tastes great and mixes well (Sunwarrior). Broccoli salad looks delicious, and is reminding me of summer!!! Can’t wait for the temperatures to start rising. :)

This was definitely like summer in a bowl Michelle! I can’t wait for it to be summer either! I also enjoy SunWarrior for baking, but have never used it in a smoothie!
