Hi! I’m new to your site, but have been getting a lot of your recipes from the Kitchen Table at Eat Clean Diet. I have a question though…… what the heck is TVP? I want to make your Quick Strawberry and Avocado Salad, but can’t figure out what that ingredient is. Kinda looks like quinoa in the photo.

Hi Kelly! It is Textured Vegetable Protein! I use this one: http://www.bobsredmill.com/tvp-textured-veg._protein.html You could always sub quinoa or brown rice! Let me know how it turns out for you! 🙂

Made the strawberry/avocado salad last night with quinoa as I didn’t buy TVP yet….delicious! Wouldn’t have guessed strawberries and avocado would pair well but they sure. With the goat cheese it’s like a dessert!

Hey Kelly! I am so glad you liked it! I definitely agree that the goat cheese makes it feel like dessert! Goat cheese and anything is amazing, but especially when it is paired with a sweet fruit! 🙂

your food looks amazing!!! This is something I want your opinion on: I’m overweight and I don’t have a ton of time to exercies (I have school, I exercise when I can, but that’s not a lot) so I eat something every 3 hours to keep my metabolism up. It’s never big, I had an apple and milk this morning and I’ll have a corn tortilla and pumpkin butter then a cup of black beans, it’s all around 200 calories. Do you think this will work to acheiving a healthy weight? I eat this 6 times a day, including another piece of fruit and milk right before I go to bed.
